Hidden behind the house is a charming brick patio surrounded by stone troughs and a great view of the central gardens. Notice the Rhode Island-built copper fountain with each leaf sending its water to the next in a helical pattern and the waterfall with ponds under the bridge. Covering the arches are Dutchman’s Pipe Vine (aristolochia) and Chocolate Vine (akebia). Notice the whimsical tribute to Vermont’s famed Covered Bridges as we created a “covered bridge” over the water flow adorned by Trumpet Vine and akebia intertwined.
