Alpine/Rock Garden

This “secret” Alpine/rock garden originally consisted of three larger Alberta Spruces and stopped at the central tree. A garden shed (which was moved) filled the remaining area.  This garden was expanded in 2012 to double its size, attempting to mirror the flora on the existing side. Four Alberta Spruces of similar height were sourced  and interesting rocks from the Northeast were introduced. Of note is a newly-installed bench which has the start of climbing hydrangea covering it, and a red orchid-like “Crocosmia Lucifer” (a hybrid between two genera, crocosmia and curtonus).
